Level 1: Diploma in Financial Engineering
Level 2: Advanced Diploma in Financial Engineering
Level 3: B.Sc. in Financial Engineering
Those who completed the mention levels are eligible to attain a certificate in the mentioned certificate category.
For example, those who completed Level one may obtain a Diploma in Financial Engineering and continue for Level 2. So the students who follow this external degree have the opportunity to obtain certificates at three levels.
Entrance Education Qualifications for B.Sc. In Financial Engineering
G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination (New syllabus) – Three passes including Combined Mathematics or Higher or Mathematics as a subject.

G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination (Old syllabus) – Three passes, including Applied Mathematics or Pure Mathematics as a subject.
or
Any other equivalent professional qualification is acceptable to the Science faculty and the University of Colombo’s senate.
