The College of Quantity Surveying is educational arm of Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Sri Lanka (IQSSL) and this institute was established under an act of Parliament. Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Sri Lanka (IQSSL) is the leading professional body for Quantity Surveying and this institute got partnership with other professional institutes of Quantity Surveying.Those who successfully completed the study program and get the membership of Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Sri Lanka got higher chances to get employment opportunities in Sri Lanka and aboard.There are so many membership categories provided by this institute and this is the only institute for quantity Surveyors in Sri Lanka.
Study Program of College of Quantity Surveying
The College of Quantity Surveying also conducts a well structured lectures series for their students in two semesters per year – the first being from February to June and the second from July to November. The College of Quantity Surveying developed several study programs for those who interest to get higher education under the field of Quantity Surveying.There are four level of study program conducted by this institute as follows.
- Foundation Program
- Level 1 program
- Level 2 Program
- Level 3 Program
Those who successfully completed the Level 3 program plus one year industrial experience con obtain the Technical Membership of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Sri Lanka (IQSSL) and this membership is equal to Graduate membership of IQSSL. In all stages the students are helped, assisted and guided by a team of professionally qualified QS Academics practitioners at The College of Quantity Surveying. Apart form their own program they also conducted several educational programs such as HND which related to Quantity surveyors. following are some advertisement of their HND program.
Medium of Study :
All the academic classes and programs were conducted in English medium.
Minimum Entry Qualifications
Those who want to enroll the study program of The College of Quantity Surveying should pass G.C.E Advanced Level on Math’s or Commerce stream plus need to pass G.C.E Ordinary level with minimum B pass for Science and Math’s. Applicant also needs to pass English Language on G.C.E Ordinary level also.
