University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) is one of the government own leading academic institute in the south Asian region in the area of computer science. Information Security Masters Degree (MIS) is one of Unique Masters program conducted by conducted at the University of Colombo School of Computing .
The Master of Science in Information Security Programme is designed for graduates who wish to acquire a postgraduate qualification in the area of Information Security. This Program offers mid-career opportunities for those working in the areas of information technology, information system audit and information security.
Those who Graduates of the M.Sc. in IS program will be able to get qualified to occupy nearly all of the job roles in the area of information Security such as Chief Information Security Officer, Information Security Architect, Information Security Analyst, Incident Responder, Network Security Engineer etc.

Eligibility Entrance Requirements
A Degree from a recognized University
or,
Any other academic or professional qualification judged equivalent to a Degree by the Senate of the University of Colombo.
Duration of Course
Information Security Masters Degree (MIS) Course comprises of two academic years which divide in to four semesters. (15 weeks per semester)
The Medium of Study
Medium of instruction will be in English for this postgraduate Master of Information Technology (MIT) Course.
Application Selection procedure
Candidates will be selected through an interview and selection test. Maximum intake would be 25 students.
Delivery of Program
Learning will primarily take place within short lectures, tutorials and practical sessions conducted by foreign and local experts. Short lectures and practical sessions will be organized on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Tutorials will be organized on Saturday 9am to 4pm. A wide range of assessments will be used across the program to assess the knowledge and skills.
