Institution of Incorporated Engineers Sri Lanka Institution of Incorporated Engineers Sri Lanka (IIESL) was established in the year of 200 by Parliament Act and before that this institute was named as Institution of Engineering Diplomats, Sri Lanka (IEDSL) and All Ceylon Engineering Diplomats Association (ACEDA).Institution of Incorporated Engineers, Sri Lanka (IIESL) is the leading institute for Incorporated Engineers in Sri Lanka. Those who received the professional qualification at Institution of Incorporated Engineers Sri Lanka (IIESL) got the ability to mention them self as Incorporated Engineer (IEng.). This is a professional qualification which you are fall under the Incorporated Engineer professions.

Qualifications Need to get the Membership of IIESL

  • You need to fulfill any qualification bellow to become a member of IIESL.
  • National Diploma in Technology – Institute of Technology, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
  • National Diploma in Technology – Hardy Senior Technical Institute, Ampara, Sri Lanka.
  • Higher National Diploma in Engineering (HNDE) – Advanced Technological Institute of Sri Lanka, Institute of Advanced Technological Education, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
  • National Diploma in Engineering Science (NDES) – Iinstitute of Engineering Technology, Katunayake of National Apprenticeship and Industrial Training Authority, Sri Lanka.
  • Diploma in Technology (Dip Tech) – The Open University of Sri Lanka.
  • Full Technological Certificate (FTC) (Prior to 1991) – City & Guilds of London Institute, United Kingdom.
  • Full Technological Diploma (FTD) – City & Guilds of London Institute, United Kingdom.
  • Licentiateship (LCGI) or Graduates hip (GCGI) ofCity & Guilds of London Institute, United Kingdom.
  • Full membership of CICES – Charted Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors, United Kingdom.

or any other qualifications accepted by the Council of the Institution from time to time.

Membership Category

The membership category of Institution of Incorporated Engineers Sri Lanka is manly divide in to four categories as Corporate Members and Non Corporate Members. Corporate and Non Corporate Members are further divide as following.

Corporate Members of the IIESL Categories as follows

FIIESL   – Fellow of Institution of Incorporated Engineers – Sri Lanka

MIIESL –  Member of Institution of Incorporated Engineers – Sri Lanka

Non – Corporate Members of the IIESL Categories as follows

Hon.FIIESL  –  Fellow of Institution of Incorporated Engineers – Sri Lanka

AMIIESL      –   Associate Member of Institution of Incorporated Engineers – Sri Lanka
