Entrance Eligibility Qualifications to Enter Kotelawala Defence Academy MSC Course:
Those who plan to follow this postgraduate degree program must complete one of the following educational qualifications.
The degree of the Bachelor of Science (Defense Studies) or Bachelor of Science in Engineering of Kotelawala Defence Academy in a relevant field of specialization,
OR
Any other Engineering degree of at least four years’ duration, in the relevant field of specialization, from a recognized university,
OR
Any other Engineering degree of at least three years’ duration, in a relevant field of specialization, from a recognized university AND a minimum of one year of appropriate experience after obtaining the degree,
OR
Associate Membership or above (satisfying the educational requirements for Corporate Membership or similar graduate membership) of a recognized professional engineering institute in a relevant field AND a minimum of one year of appropriate experience after obtaining such membership.
Duration of the Program:
This postgraduate programme is conducted on Saturdays and Sundays for a period of one/two years. The first year is dedicated for taught course modules and the second year is for the research project.
The Medium of Study:
The medium of instruction will be in English for this Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Electrical Engineering programme.
