National Certificate in Technology (NCT) is a three years part-time advanced technical training program for individuals who work in the fields of Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Quantity Surveying. National Certificate in Technology is one of the major technology based certificate program in Sri Lanka for those who successfully pass G.C.E Ordinary Level Examination. The mentioned program got high demand in the industry and those who successfully completed following certificate program got higher job opportunities in Sri Lanka as well as aboard. This program conducted under main regional Technical College in Sri Lanka and some of the regional Technical College in Sri Lanka may not conduct entire streams of the National Certificate in Technology program. This is one of recognized program those who Mainly National Certificate in Technology program classified in to six major categories and those categories shows as follows.
- National Certificate in Technology (Civil Engineering)
- National Certificate in Technology (Electrical Engineering)
- National Certificate in Technology (Mechanical Engineering – Production Technology)
- National Certificate in Technology (Mechanical Engineering – Automobile Technology)
- National Certificate in Technology (Mechanical Engineering – Ref and Air Technology)

Fees will be charged from all those following Part Time and Evening Courses.
Duration: Three Years (Part time)
Medium: The first year of this National Certificate in Technology conducted Technical College in Sri Lanka under Sinhala and Tamil medium. The Second and third years teaching will done in English medium.
Education Qualifications
Applicant Should Pass G.C.E Ordinary Level Examination in six subjects not more than two sitting. The Six subjects should be
- Sinhala/ Tamil/ English Language
- Mathematics and Science
- Three other Subjects or any other equivalent qualifications.
Other Qualifications
Applicant should have excellent moral character
Applicant must be a citizen of Sri Lanka
Applicant should fulfill all the eligibility requirements for admission at the time of forwarding the application.
Age limit should not be less than 17 years.
