Diploma in Business Program was conducted under the department of commerce and financial management of University of Kelaniya. Those who successfully completed University of Kelaniya External Diploma can enter in to Higher Diploma in Business Program which also the duration of program is one year and consequently can enter in to Bachelor Degree (external) at University of Kelaniya also. Workshops are also conduct parallel to this program to improve the soft skills of the students. Entrance Qualifications for University of Kelaniya External Diploma
Applicant should pass G.C.E Advanced Level in any Stream.
Or
Applicant should pass two subjects of G.C.E Advanced Level in any Stream plus one year working experience.
Selection Procedure to enter
Candidates for Diploma in Business Program will be select through interview process. Normally Application call on January and student can collect the applications form the department of commerce & financial management, University of Kelaniya personally or by downloaded for the web.
Duration of the University of Kelaniya External Diploma Program
One Year and lectures will conducted only on Sundays. The diploma comprises of two semesters. The duration of each semester will be 15 weeks. At the end of each semester, 2 week study leave will be provided and at the end of course, examination will be conducted within two weeks after the study leave.

Requirement to get the Diploma
A student registered for the Diploma will be awarded the Diploma in Business if she/he
satisfies the following conditions.
1.Obtained grades of C or better in all course units
2.Obtained a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 from all the course units.
3.Complete the relevant requirements within the period of three year since first registration
