Higher Diploma in Information Technology (HDIT) will be awarded to holders of the IT Diploma on successful completion of course examinations of the second year and after successfully completion of 1, year 2 and year 3 examinations and fulfillment of other requirements the student may award Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT).

University of Moratuwa BIT Exemption
Student who completed Higher National Diploma in Information Technology (HNDIT) at Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE) are eligible to except 16 study modules of Higher Diploma and Diploma Level Programs.
Entry Qualifications for University of Moratuwa BIT :
Applicant need to pass three subjects for G.C.E Advanced Level Examinations in any stream or any other educational qualifications acceptable to the faculty broad and approved by the Sanate of University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC).
and
A credit pass for Mathematics in the G.C.E (O/L) examination.
